Does an easy way to fix this exist? It's not a big deal since I next to never use spells but it's kind of annoying still . I recently made an Ebony Tower Shield with Frost Shield 10 points. The goal of it was to kill annoying little things without wasting arrows on them like slaughterfish. It seems to kick in randomly with my shield semi equipped or fully equipped equally but it doesn't occur often is that normal? My night eye constant effect item also seems to work only intermittently do constant effect items need requipped than un equipped regularly? Thank you for your time

In the original game version, the robe was constant effect, making it the most unbalancing item in the game, rendering the wearer pratically invulnerable. Was changed to Cast When Used in the first patch. Robe of the Drake's Pride: Weight: 3.0 Value: 205 Constant Effect Fortify Intelligence 10 pts on Self Resist Fire 25% on Self Reflect 25% on Self. This mod is not opted-in to receive Donation Points. This little plug-in allows you to enchant items with constant effects using the souls of powerful monsters (i.e. Winged Twilight, Deadroth etc) which have a minimum of 300 soul. Basically every soul gem with a capacity of 300 will enable the constant effect feature, just click down in the left corner to change it from 'cast when used' to 'constant effect'. I'm sorry to double post, but I saw the 'I know it will be expensive but that's ok, I have plenty of gold and valuables.' Thingy, and that rules out self enchanting. When you open the enchant window, you'll see a list of spells you have available to enchant, and two small squares, there you choose the Golden Saint Grand gem to get the CE effect, and on the other you choose the item you wnat to.

No need to ask more 'cause i don't know. Best of luck. _________________ Life is a comedy to those who think, a tragedy to those who feel. - Jean Racine

You may not have the right level of magick school to cast your spells. for example to summon an ancestral ghost costing 20 points of magicka you would need a conjuration skill of at least 30 to have any chance of casting it ( you will sometimes fail). Your more likely to fail if you have no fatigue also. 2. khajit night eye is a race spell meaning you cant fail to cast it. can only be used once every 24 ingame hours. 3.your shield will only cast the spell automatically if you make a successful block with it i do believe. Hard to block at low levels of the block skill. 4. Constant effect items should just work I cant really help with that. Hope some of this helps you out.

You wanted to know if there is a simple solution. In case it is a matter of pure save game corruption, I can, with my very limited knowledge, see only four ways out (I hope anyone with more expertise corrects this, in case it's wrong): 1. Wrye Mash, to fix your save 2. Go step by step backwards in saves, until you hit a clean one 3. Cheat your way into achieved level 4. Start a new game Best of luck. And to be very very wise: it's good to save saved games once in a while, in a different place. _________________ Life is a comedy to those who think, a tragedy to those who feel. - Jean Racine

I hadn't changed any mods but yeah I definitely need to save more with unique names I often find in 3 days I have made less than 5 saves. Thanks for all the advice. BTW do any of you guys have issues with robes blocking your target when you use bows?

You mean your own robe blocking? That's quite possible. You can try to change the perspective with tab key (default). I went over to crossbows for just about the same reason... couldn't see my target. Don't know if there's a true solution. Best of luck.
