All versions of Macromedia ColdFusion MX include a MySQL JDBC Type 4 driver. However, some users may choose to use more recent MySQL JDBC drivers distributed by MySQL in order to use newer features of MySQL. This TechNote describes how to configure ColdFusion MX to use a newer version of the driver. The driver fully supports the MySQL database functionality and enables other applications to connect to the database. The connector uses a JDBC driver.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) JDBC Driver for MySQL is a driver that enables applications to take full advantage of the features of clustered MySQL databases. It is based on and can be used as a drop-in compatible for the MySQL Connector/J driver and is compatible with all MySQL deployments.
